Meet the Cast of No Kissing

As Theatre Noir Blanc prepares for its highly anticipated production of No Kissing by Quintin Humphrey, audiences will experience a deeply human story about intimacy, survival, memory, and love during uncertain times.

Directed by Bradford Reilly, the production brings together two seasoned performers whose emotional depth and lived experiences breathe life into this timely and powerful work.

Meet the Cast

Edmund as Clayton

Out of Dallas comes Edmund, stepping into Clayton’s shoes, a sharp-witted poet navigating dread and isolation, where closeness suddenly becomes risk as the world locks down in 2020.

Edmund trained at KD Actors Conservatory. His first show with Theatre Noir Blanc carries weight, aligning with their mission to spotlight overlooked narratives. You might have seen him in Fat Ham at Dallas Theater Center. Other appearances include The Wiz, and he was also part of A Christmas Carol.

Beyond the stage, Edmund is deeply involved in storytelling and creative development, supporting performers behind the scenes while advocating for artists’ rights and mental and emotional wellness in theatre spaces.

Michael as Rolf

From the banking world steps Michael, now playing Rolf, a man who once wore suits but now walks runways. His charm conceals old scars shaped by the AIDS epidemic, long before hashtags and lockdowns.

Distance between people? He’s lived through worse. That history informs how he navigates today’s rules. Survival then shapes how he questions everything now.

Michael has appeared across DFW theatre, including Good Night, Oscar at WaterTower Theatre, Hamlet with The Classics Theatre Project, and God of Carnage at Lakeside Community Theatre.

Across Dallas, Austin, and Atlanta, Michael builds Rolf with lived-in emotional weight. His performance feels unforced, shaped by time, experience, and restraint. Every gesture carries memory.

A Story That Resonates Through Time

No Kissing explores the emotional parallels between the COVID-19 pandemic and the AIDS crisis through two men confronting fear, aging, intimacy, and survival.

Set during the first night of lockdown, the play examines how human connection persists even in moments of uncertainty and isolation. How closeness, even when dangerous, remains necessary.

Closing Thoughts

No Kissing is not just a story about isolation, it is a story about what remains when distance becomes the rule of survival. Through Clayton and Rolf, we see two different eras of fear echoing each other, reminding us that history does not disappear, it transforms.

This production invites audiences to sit with discomfort, memory, and connection, and to consider what intimacy means when it is no longer guaranteed.
