Introducing Theatre Noir Blanc

Theatre Noir Blanc is a new nonprofit theatre company committed to equity, diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility through bold original storytelling.

Founded by playwright Quintin Humphrey, the company exists to amplify gay voices, particularly interracial narratives historically underrepresented within theatrical spaces.

A Theatre Built on Presence and Truth

Life unfolds sideways in stories told under lights.

When thought stretches beyond limits, connection still happens through performance, through embodied moments, through the act of witnessing. Space opens for creators to present what feels uncertain or risky. Unfamiliar perspectives arrive without warning.

Truth, when spoken freely, becomes a place where connection can grow.

Out of quiet moments come sparks, ideas shifting, emotions rising, new paths appearing. When honesty is given room, what was once closed begins to move.

Stories Rooted in Real Lives

From Dallas, Texas, Theatre Noir Blanc focuses on discovering and developing new scripts from playwrights across the country and beyond, voices shaped by lived experience and perspective.

These stories carry texture. They are layered with realities often overlooked, shaped by lives that rarely take center stage.

Rather than blending into expectation, each production stands apart, defined by contrast rather than conformity. Authenticity is the foundation. There is no interest in shortcuts or polished imitation.

The work is shaped slowly, guided by listening. It grows from stories formed outside of traditional spaces, where honesty matters more than trend.

No Kissing as a Living Example

From its first moments, No Kissing reflects what Theatre Noir Blanc stands for.

A quiet spreads as cities begin to empty. Two people remain in a shared space, speaking without planning about skin, about closeness, about time passing in ways that cannot be undone.

Memories surface without permission: hospitals, silence, loss that never fully leaves.

Cold dread settles into rooms like drafts through old windows. Heavy silence holds what language cannot.

Each morning becomes ritual. Hands reach for a cup the way roots search for water. Memory lives beneath the skin, even when voices go quiet. An empty chair still shapes the air around it.

Grief does not arrive as a storm. It arrives in pauses, in what is left unsaid.

The Energy Behind the Work

Something real drives every moment forward.

Bold storytelling gives it shape, but stillness carries just as much weight. Few ensembles in Dallas speak in this register today.

Slowly, trust forms. You begin to feel seen. The space continues to hum, even in silence, even in darkness.

Closing Thoughts

Theatre Noir Blanc is not only building productions, it is building presence.

A space where stories are not simplified, softened, or hidden, but allowed to exist fully in their complexity.

This is theatre that listens as much as it speaks.
